Some people were born to be digital specialists and Chris is one of them. He was an early adapter of digital technology; quick to purchase a digital watch the moment it came onto the market, eager to play video games ( such as PONG) before they became household names and creating computer graphics when PCs had just 48k of RAM.
Originally from the same Northern English town as movie director Ridley Scott, Chris has lived and worked throughout the world, first as an art director/copywriter in traditional creative industries such as advertising and marketing, before switching to the Internet industry in 1996 where he joined The Web Connection in Hong Kong, one of the first web agencies. Before long he was invited to set up an interactive team at Euro RSCG Hong Kong. There he helped develop groundbreaking online campaigns for Intel and Philips for the Asia market with award-winning results.
In 2000 Chris moved to Euro RSCG Sydney, and during this time the agency was named ADNEWS Interactive Agency of the Year several times running. After four years of producing award-winning work for Volvo, Orange and Sony - as well as being a judge for the Cannes Cyber Lions - he came back to Europe where he worked at Ogilvy Paris and Amsterdam, leading teams on projects for Cisco, Motorola, IBM, American Express, Unilever and Yahoo!
Curiosity and an endless desire to experience new things brought Chris to Tribal DDB Shanghai in November 2010 with the aim to combine a passion for big ideas with his tireless drive for innovation. As an influential blogger with a large following on Twitter, Chris believes that we are just scratching the surface of the digital revolution.
